Otelo
Otelo is the Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman.

 Otelo's job is to sort out disagreements between public

communications providers and their customers.

Ofcom
Ofcom is the independent regulator and competition
authority for the UK communications industries, with 
responsibilities across television, radio, telecommunications
 and wireless communications services.

PhonepayPlus
PhonepayPlus, previously known as ICSTIS, is the organisation
that regulates products or services - such as competitions, 
TV voting, helplines, adult entertainment, downloads, 
new alerts or interactive games - that are charged to users' 
phone bills or pre-pay accounts.

Telephone Preference Service
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is the central opt 
out register on which you can record your preference not 
to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls
to your home or mobile telephone numbers.

Federation of Communication Services
The Federation of Communication Services (FCS) is the UK
Trade Association for the communications services industry
representing businesses delivering products and services 
to customers by radio, mobile, fixed and IP telephony.

Topcomm
Topcomm is a service designed to help fixed line telecoms

Energy Retail Association

 

 

 

The Energy Retail Association (ERA), formed in 2003, 
represents the major electricity and gas suppliers in the 
domestic market in Great Britain.

The ERA works closely with government, NGOs, charities
and other organisations in England, Scotland and Wales
to ensure a coordinated approach to dealing with the key
issues affecting our industry and the British consumer.

All the main energy suppliers, operating in the residential 
market, in Great Britain are members of the association - 
British Gas, EDF Energy, npower, E.ON, Scottish Power, 
and Scottish and Southern Energy.
The ERA is headed by the Chief Executive, Duncan Sedgwick
who was formerly Retail Director of Powergen (now E.ON). He
 is given high level direction from a Board made up of the 
Chief Executive Officers and Managing Directors of our
 six member companies.
